 April 22 = Field Trip! Earth Day: Elizabeth Lake Turtle Day... learn about life cycle of Western Painted Turtles and their habitat requirements. Also, learn about other species in the wetland area. 

 Permission form will be going home soon.

Bus leaves HES at 10:15 and return to HES at noon.

May 5 & 6 -  Student-led conferences in our classroom! Early dismissal days - students are in school from 8:40 until noon. Conferences are from 12:50pm to 3pm. Sign-up online... information is coming soon!

Students can access the portal and work on their documents even if they are not at school.      

Instructions for typing out your story at your house.

1.  Go to the 'sd5.bc.ca' website. Click on 'SIGN IN' at the top.

2.  Click on “Office 365.” It will ask you to "sign in."

3.  Sign in using your # (the same # you use every day at school)... and email as per below.

 Email Example: 12345678@sd5.bc.ca

4. You are now in the portal! Your documents or Power-point will be there.

                        - DUE DATES: hand-in your WW page on or before the last day of the week.

                      - list words will always be sent home on Mondays.
Word Work will include a) editing practice / searching for errors,

b) multiple choice spelling page, and 

c) in class Boggle challenges and working with letter tiles to increase word generator skills and spelling skills.

d) "Spellography" - guided lessons to better spelling!
