February 23 and March 9 are our skiing / snowboarding days at Kimberley Alpine Resort.

 NOTES:

1. If you are planning to chaperone as an adult skier or snowboarder, you will need a CRRP (Criminal Records Review Program / criminal record check).

 2. These 2 ski days are for HES students in grade 4, 5, and 6 only. Please do not bring other family members from other grades if you are planning on being a chaperone. Thanks for your respect on this matter.

Language Arts - we will begin a new novel study with the themes of "life in a residential school" and anti-bullying...

Desperate to learn to read, Olemaun badgers her father to let her go to the school for Inuit children in Canada's far north. She is warned that school may not be what she thinks it is.

Instructions for typing out your story at your house.

1.  Go to the 'sd5 portal' website. Click on 'Sign-in' at the top of the page.

2.  Click on “Office 365.” Scroll down and click on "sign in."

3.  Sign in using your # (the same # you use every day at school)... and email.

 Example: 12345678@sd5.bc.ca

4. You are now in the portal! Your sound effects story will be there.
