What's going on in class these days?

Reading
 - Among The Betrayed - it's getting closer to the story's climax; tension is building! Note: there will be a quiz when we are finished the novel; right before spring break.
- students reading SSR novels.
- class Read-a-thon (psssst - read a tonne at home!).

Writing
- Sound Effects Story is due on Friday & presentations begin on Tuesday, Feb. 28.
- check the criteria sheet carefully.

Word Work
- advance to the next level if you are accurate enough!

Math
TEST on TRANSFORMATIONS: TRANSLATIONS, REFLECTIONS, AND ROTATIONS; THE CARTESIAN COORDINATE PLANE... TOMORROW!

Science
- Extreme Environments: lessons, video clips, discussions, and concept building.
- research project was introduced.

Socials
- Finished learning about Canadian Industries.
- Next is the system of our government in Canada.

HCE
- Nutrition - carbs, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, water,...
- learning how to compare food labels & a take home assignment.
- need to discuss bullying and self-esteem.
- wear pink to support anti-bullying on Wed., Feb. 29. (also earn bonus HTP's). 

PE
- Good improvements in basketball!
- HEADING FOR THE SLOPES ON MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!
