Socials – Early Explorers of Canada

Goal: to research and create a short report and/or other graphic organizer to relate key Early Explorers of Canada to their discoveries.
 What to include:

·       Name, date and place of birth and date of death

·       Which parts of Canada did he / she explore?
(example: use a map to help explain)
·       What did they discover? What makes him/her famous?

·       List all special talents, skills, jobs the explorer had

·       Any information on how Aboriginal Groups helped or relationships they had with YOUR explorer.

***Remember this is a SHORT report.***

            - students have 5 thirty-five minute blocks on the computers to finish in class
            - use a memory stick if you have one

 - has 8 to 10 sound effects maximum
