Happy Earth Day on Friday!

Mr. Brousseau (student teacher) has started his practicum in our class for 4 more weeks. Please work your hardest!


Please return the Communicating Student Progress / Learning ENVELOPE when you can. Please see Mr. Bartraw if you have questions or concerns about your child's TERM 2 progress.

From April 24 to 27 we will be taught PE by a GUEST dancer: teaching us dance based on aboriginal legend called "The Legend of the Caribou Boy."  May 2 = Showcase our dance.


Scholastic Book Fair April 26 / 27.


May 4 = Talent Show.

May 5 - Pro -D teachers only.

May 11 = Highlands Track Meet at COTR.

          - reading book 4: AMONG THE BARONS - We are on Chapter 24 and we will finish the book by Friday. - NOVEL Theme Interpretation TEST on Friday.
           ~ DAILY GRADED reading responses (and discussions).
          ~ more literary devices will be studied... alliteration, personification, and hyperbole. 
          ~ "The Legend of the Caribou Boy" is our Aboriginal story chosen for our class. It's content will be transformed into a DANCE with our dance expert next week!

   ~ WRITING =   "We will be using dialogue in our writing," explained Mr. Bartraw.
                                Mr. Brousseau replied, "I'll teach it!"
