May 8 - 12

ON MONDAY, MAY 8... Please expect an interim report on your child's learning progress since Spring Break. This will be a time for you (or Mr. Bartraw) to request a conference.
Please return the report envelopes ASAP.

Pines Camp - Thanks to all those who brought in their forms and fees.Chaperones received their letters last week.

Mr. Brousseau (student teacher) continues to teach more and more in our class (this is his final week). Let's do something special on his last day (FRIDAY)!

May 11 = Highlands Track Meet at COTR. READ THE INFO CAREFULLY.
All students took home 4 handouts full of information / details about the day.
Return the permission form ASAP, signed, in order to participate in track and field events.


May 23 - class photos.

L. ARTS...
          - all students have signed out a mystery book from the library and should be making plenty of progress to finish that book by May 15th - we had to extend it.
         ~ WRITING = we are learning how to use quotation marks and other punctuation marks appropriately; We have written one story called "THE DUMP." Last week we wrote another one called "ICY ADVENTURE." Now we can add "EXPERIENCED PET SITTER" TO OUR LIST OF STORIES. That's our final one, for now.

     "How is the dialogue writing going for the grade four class?" questioned Mr. Bartraw.
                               
       Mr. Brousseau replied, "Well, we are now ready to publish our best one on the computers."
