Language Arts - Continuing our SSR Literature Study
                          - student choose one of 6 novels
                          - read in "chunks" 
                          - analyze the content and characters, likes, 
                            ... dislikes, questions, patterns
                          - conference as a novel group WITH MR. BARTRAW
**Students must return novels to school if they take them home to read.**

Writing: SECOND LARGE, OFFICIAL WRITTEN ASSESSMENT PIECE.
              - topic choices = My Favourite Place or Season
                      - criteria = meaning, style, form, conventions.
                                    - must have powerful HOOK, effective use
                                      of paragraphs, as taught in class, clarity and
                                      unity of thought, and a conclusion.
                     - we are putting the finishing touches on it on TUESDAY.
