Writing: ............................................
this assignment is... DUE FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16 IN CLASS.
"What's In The Scenery?" Sensory Imagery Writing
Sensory
details allow the reader to put themselves into your writing mentally by
forming a picture in his/her mind. Without sensory details, the reader becomes
bored and cannot emotionally connect to the story.
Sensory details include words that describe
sights, sounds, textures, smells, and sometimes tastes of the setting,
characters, and interactions.
Directions:
Write powerful, image-creating sentences by looking at the image
you printed out and adding sensory details. Make up additional details to
construct new sentences.

can do this! Use a
thesaurus to help you.
