Feb 22 - Heart to Heart Market and Fair
- bring a non-perishable food item to participate
in the fair in the gym
At Highlands School, we believe that local and global citizenship through helping others is part of our identity.
What is the Heart to Heart Market?
Every class at HES will be setting out a table, where items may be purchased in increments of 25 cents up to one dollar. Students will get to go ‘shopping’ at the Market, with ALL proceeds going towards the SPCA. Staff and parents are encouraged to shop as well.
Where do the items come from?
ALL students are asked to make things like some artwork, crafts, friendship bracelets,... or whatever their hearts' desire! Another option is to bring in some items from home that you no longer use, but they are still in very good or excellent condition. For example, last year I brought in a set of 20 plastic dinosaurs and a bouncy ball that my son did not play with anymore.
These items from home could include:
- books
- hot wheels cars
- small toys
- games
- dvds
- small lego sets...
- ANYTHING you are willing to part with that is still in great shape!
Please do not bring in food due to allergy risks.
Last year we also raised money through our Heart to Heart Market to help animals at the local THERAPY DOGS PROGRAM that comes bi-weekly to our school.
