Dear Parents,
Normally, in a non-COVID year, parents would be invited to our class to participate in student-led conferences in May. Students would then showcase many accomplishments, assignments completed, and things they are working on in May.
Instead, this year, the students will be filling out the self-assessment portion of an interim report, and I will complete the same checklist. It will be sent home on FRIDAY, MAY 7TH along with a folder of a few things we are working on that your child will explain to you, along with a checklist. This will provide you with a reasonable ‘snapshot’ of your child’s academic behaviours, progress, in the five-week period since term two reports went home.

Parent / Student / Teacher Conversations will be… on Tuesday, May 11th and Wednesday, May 12th. HES will be dismissing classes at 12:50 on these two days. For those parents who wish to discuss how things are going for your child in term three or have questions… set up a time to call me!

Should you choose to schedule a phone conversation about your child’s progress in term three, please write a note in your child’s agenda or send an email indicating a preferred day and time from 1pm to 3:30pm on either day, along with a phone number.
