June 13 to 17

 Important information and dates:

June 14 - return your FREE pizza forms - sent home Monday, June 13. 

June 14 & 15  - bring your bike and helmet to school! Bike ride on TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY from 10:50am to 11:50am.

 

June 17 - ALL Pines Camp forms for students and parent PIC forms from the RCMP and $ (for students and chaperones) DUE.

***No late forms or $ will be accepted after Friday as Pines Camp needs to know final numbers to order food by Friday night.

I will select the cabin groups and activity groups by Saturday, June 20. Check this blog to find out. 

**NOTE: Chaperones have the option of driving or riding the bus to Grand Forks. We will need a few drivers to meet us in the HES parking lot by 7am to take some students' gear in vehicles as there is limited space under the bus. Please email me if you are driving and can take some extra gear. Thanks.  

June 17 - Volunteer TEA @ 4pm.

June 20 - Fun day (afternoon)! FREE PIZZA LUNCH TOO!

June 21 - 22 - PINES CAMP!!!!!

June 23 - Report Cards go home. last day of school for students - from 9 am to 11am.

              - dismissal is at 11am!

Items to bring on the Pines Camp Trip

  1. BIG lunch for Tuesday (WE EAT OUR LUNCHES ON THE BUS) and possibly some snacks for yourself for the rest of the trip (although 1 snack is provided)
  2. Water bottle (name on it)
  3. Sleeping bag / comforter / blanket and pillow  
  4. Flashlight (optional, but a small one may be helpful for Mission Impossible)
  5. Change of clothes (pants, shirt, pair of shorts, socks, underwear, MI clothes)
  6. Towel (for the shower)
  7. PJ’s
  8. Mosquito repellant
  9. Jacket and a sweatshirt / hoodie / LAYERS (mornings are cold in the woods)!
  10. Travel sized shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, wash cloth in zip-lock bag, soap, … etc…
  11. Running shoes required for all outdoor activities

* NO OPEN-TOED SHOES / SANDALS – SAFETY REASONS – but they can be     used in your cabin for lounging!*

**Indoor shoes or slippers are required for wearing in the dining hall**

  1. Hat and sunscreen … maybe a raincoat and/or umbrella - looks like rain - we go rain or shine!  (check the weather apps / forecast as we approach the day of our trip)

(~electronic devices are optional for the bus ride ONLY … Note:  HES or Pines Camp are not responsible for lost, damaged, stolen electronic devices).

*Any medical conditions or medications that students may require (epi-pens, allergy medication, etc,…) must be disclosed prior departure. Please inform your teacher.

Reminder – the bus leaves at 7:15AM on Tuesday, June 21.
