March 9th - Career Fair - we will share our potential future careers based on our personal interests surveys and the researched information we found out about our chosen jobs.

If you can... students are asked to dress-up and/or bring in items that may represent their career. Example: a CHEF could wear an apron, bring in oven mitts, and a small measuring cup...

March 17 - Report Card #2 goes home.

March 17 - We are going on a trip to the Wildhorse River for survival skills! Challenge: build a small fire with your house team members, whittle a stick, and cook hot dogs and a can of beans!

Your Future Career:  Use the website… https://www.vaview.net/k5/check-it/kids-search/   Started: in class – self-inventory is finished.   Perform an Inquiry (Find Out About) what job you may like, from your survey answers…   You then will need to create a MS Word document (as taught in class) to show what you discovered about yourself and your possible future career!   This document will include… 1.  Name the job / career. 2.  Describe it. 3.  Duties of the job / career. 4.  Where and when is the job. 5.  What and/or who they work with. 6.  Fast facts: a) Education and Training                   b) Wages (how much $ do you earn per year)                   c) Any other facts.
