Last week in January!

Here's what's up for the rest of this week...

Reading - NOVEL STUDY - AMONG THE BARONS - M. P. Haddix
               - we finished Chapter 30 - the end!
               - that was out of 140 points - ask to see your child's reading response books
               - POST-READING ACTIVITES WERE CHOSEN AND CONTINUE
                  & ARE DUE TUESDAY, Feb. 5.

Read-a-thon begins on Friday  - so tally up your total number of reading minutes, daily. and write them in your agenda, daily, signed by a parent for class and individual totals. These minutes will also go toward our class house team points! READ OFTEN!

Writing - we will shift to writing for specific purposes and audiences
              - conventions and mechanics, too!

Word Work - continues as usual working at individual spelling levels.
                   - work hard at your words all week & study
                   - test on Friday this week
                   - new rule = advance with 29 or 30/30 - down one level with less than or equal to 66%.

Math - math test - home & signed - RATIOS, RATES this week - short unit.
          - do your homework and work hard!
