Feb 4 to 8

Reading - NOVEL STUDY - AMONG THE BARONS - M. P. Haddix
               - POST-READING ACTIVITIES WERE CHOSEN AND
                 CONTINUE & ARE DUE TUESDAY, Feb. 5 - worth
                 60 points.
               - the choices were a map of the Grant's mansion or an interview
                 with Luke or Smits.

Read-a-thon began on Friday  - so tally up your total number of reading minutes, daily, and write them in your agenda, daily, signed by a parent for class and individual totals. These minutes will also go toward our class house team points! READ OFTEN! Record your minutes!

Writing - we will begin writing a story with a focus on character and plot
                development, dialogue, and conventions / mechanics, too.
              - the story is called 'Be A Perfect Person In Just Three Days"
              - the criteria is the standard gr. 6 rubric for story writing.

Word Work - continues as usual working at individual spelling levels.
                   - work hard at your words all week & study
                   - test on Friday
                   - new rule = advance with 29 or 30/30
                   - down one level with less than or equal to 66%.

Math - new unit  -  classifying, NAMING, drawing angles
          - using a protractor - ANGLES!
          - do your homework and work hard!
