Demo Science Experiment!
Goal: to demonstrate any simple science experiment to the class explaining the concept of ‘variable.’
You will:
·         Need a partner (working at your house)
·         Research any simple experiment on the computers
·         Make sure you have all the materials
·         Perform the experiment exactly 3 times changing one item (this is your ‘variable’)
·         Clearly explain the term ‘variable’ in your experiment while you present
·         Formally demonstrate it to your classmates
·         State the question, hypothesis, materials, procedure, observations, and conclusions to the best of your ability
·         You will not need a written component – verbal only.
·         Be ready to present on Thursday, October 11, 2018.

Hint: keep it a simple experiment like the first experiment we did in class with the small glass, water, and an index card.

                                        Criteria                                                          Scale
·       Clearly demonstrated a simple experiment with an introduction, a question, hypothesis, materials, procedure, observations, and conclusions.

*Precisely explained
*Well-stated
*Satisfactory
*Basic understanding
*Unable to explain
·       Demonstrates and explains what a ‘variable’ is in their experiment and how it was ‘changeable.’
