Hockey, PE, and sledding in WASA! I went to Wasa on Saturday. There is not enough snow for snowshoeing! Wednesday, December 20, 2023!

~The ice is not going to be frozen enough for skating! We will play hockey in our boots. A group will also go sledding for a while with an adult. Later, we will have a fire, and enjoy our lunches.
~Depart from HES @ 8:45am. ~Depart from WASA rink at 2pm.
~Return to HES by 2:40pm. ~ Outdoor washrooms are available nearby.
What to bring: NOTE: VICTORIA'S MOM HAS OFFERED TO BUY HOT DOGS AND MARSHMALLOWS FOR THE CLASS. January 17 - First day at Kimberley Alpine Resort...
Our Highlands intermediate students will be going skiing/snowboarding at the Kimberley Alpine Resort.
We have 3 dates booked: Jan. 17, Feb 12, and Mar 11.
We will be leaving school at 9am on the bus and returning to the school for 2:50pm
dismissal. More information and forms coming this week!

Writing focus: to improve our sentences. When we read a chapter of our novel, we write a journal entry. We are working at increasing our sentence structure usage and spelling accuracy when we communicate in writing. |

~Word Work - Unit 15 - since students are working at different levels of spelling, there will be different groups, according to where they are at... as observed in class. Students may increase or decrease in levels, depending on their written outputs and results.
- All units are handed out on Mondays and then the rest needs to be worked on at home.
*Students are
responsible for bringing home their list words at the beginning of each week. There are activities on the
pages; practicing word patterns, meanings of words, etc,.. Students must return the page for grading on or before the
last day of the week.
