Setting (where and when your story takes place… mainly) - detailed enough to create an image in your head - paints a clear picture with words.
Characters - we gradually learn about all the characters, their personality, appearance, attitudes, relationships to other characters, BUT NOT ALL AT ONCE.
Events/Problem - there is a clear problem in the story about being perfect or not - the events flow in logical order without huge gaps.
Mechanics - spelling, capitals, punctuation, grammar use is accurate - work is edited and revised (improved) - less than five errors overall are expected after proofreading on our laptops.
